Vast sea, glassy.
Sun shimmering as far as I can see. Dancing like specs of diamonds. Glittering infinitely.
Waves lap at my feet.
Fine bits of sand sifting. Shifting endlessly.
The wind glides around me. Lifting my words to blend with the word you spoke to me.
Believe and say to this mountain, “Go throw yourself into the sea.”
I look behind me.
The desert is vast like the sea.
Sands spread out like a billowing sheet changing shape with the will of the breeze.
“What is your mountain dear love?” I hear him whisper to me.
I think. I close my eyes letting my thoughts drift like the sift, the shift of the sands.
My heart, my dreams, my hopes, my plans.
You only Holy Spirit know the inward man.
The fear, the desperation, the anger, the hurt.
You understand when we sit down in defeat after we have screamed,
“Mountain be cast into the sea!”
and believe with all of our belief…
then to be overwhelmed with grief when we don’t see.
A victory. A win?
“Open your eyes dear one. Look around you again.
What is a win?
When you looked to me.
That was your victory.
When I said believe and you believed.
When I said stand and you stood.
When I said speak and you cried out for me to come, knowing I would.
Look around you. Where are these mountains that caused your tears?
Where are these hills? Where are your fears?
I’m telling you my beautiful one each mountain has been thrown into the sea.
They are squishing between your toes. You stand on the finely ground bits of your
enemy.
I’ve already healed every sickness and disease.
Now all you have to do is look to me.
Believe. Believe. Believe.
Stand at the break between the sand and the sea.
Let your feet sink into your victory.”
